About the Course
Your visual language is how you combine and arrange elements of art, principles of design, media, techniques, and personal meaning to tell stories, evoke emotions, or provoke thoughts. Your visual voice as an artist evolves over time and with practice.
Creating a series of related paintings is an exciting and compelling way to continue the journey. Following the "Discover Your Visual Voice Class" join Lisa Gentile in exploring your visual voice in a set of cohesive acrylic paintings.
What You'll Do
Learn what makes a series and how to unify artworks
Turn your inspiration into plans for your paintings
Choose a color palette that is focused yet flexible
Add interest to your art with techniques and methods like texture and mark-making
Brainstorm and troubleshoot with Lisa and the other participants
Realize the benefits of working on multiple paintings at once
What You'll Get
Discussion and time to draft a theme for a series of approximately 8 paintings
Guidance on studies for up to 3 paintings
Canvases for up to 3 paintings and guided time to work on them
Handouts for continued reference

Beginner- and intermediate level knowledge of acrylic painting. This repeatable workshop is a great next step after taking the Discover Your Visual Vocabulary Painting Class by Lisa Gentile.
What to Bring
It is recommended but not necessary that guests bring their own Basic Art Tool Kit if they have it. Kits are available as an optional add-on purchase during registration. This is the same kit that is used in the Discover Your Visual Vocabulary Painting Class by Lisa Gentile.
Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 4 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
